Job Point is pleased to announce that the enrollment period has begun for their Summer Work Experience program. In a collaborative effort with Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and a variety of businesses in Boonville, Columbia and Moberly, the Summer Work Experience program provides a work-based learning experience for high school students entering their Senior year.
Throughout the summer, interactive, engaging career readiness skills will be taught through on-the-job examples and lively discussions specifically designed for young adults.
Topics may include:

- NETWORKING
- ONLINE job search & employment assessments
- PROBLEM SOLVING and critical thinking
- PROFESSIONALISM
- SOCIAL MEDIA in the workplace
- SEXUAL HARASSMENT
- BUDGETING
- BACKGROUND CHECK
- DRUG SCREENS
For Summer 2024, the following locations will be parntering with Job Point as host sites:
- C & R Market in Boonville, MO
- YMCA in Moberly, MO
- Level Up Entertainment in Columbia, MO
- Shelter Insurance in Columbia, MO
Each location will host multiple students working in a variety of positions ranging from groundskeeper to retail, childcare and more. Start dates and hours vary by location, but most programs will begin at the end of May or beginning of June and will conclude sometime in July.
