Columbia, MO – With pomp and circumstance, Job Point will host its Summer 2022 Graduation Ceremony at 4:00 pm on July 14 in the beautiful Bixby Hall in the Brouder Science Center at Columbia College. Staff, graduates and their families will gather to recognize each of these 35 outstanding students for achievements.
The program will begin with a special keynote presentation from Dr. Katie Siegel, District Transition Coordinator for the Columbia Public Schools. Dr. Katie Siegel is the District Transition Coordinator for Columbia Public School District. Her position oversees the transition planning and workforce development for students who have been identified with a disability. Dr. Siegel thoroughly enjoys her position and is very grateful for the opportunity to work with CPS students, families, and community agencies to assist in post-secondary planning.
Dr. Siegel has a bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Central Methodist University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southwest Baptist University and obtained PhD from Indiana State University also in Educational Leadership.
Following the presentation of certificates, students will have the opportunity to speak. Many students typically use this space to share their individual stories and encouragement for their peers.
Masks are optional based on attendees’ personal preferences. The ceremony will also be live-streamed on Facebook for those who are unable to attend in person.
The celebration will conclude with a reception for graduates and their families.
