Gary J. Taylor Memorial Fund
A youth scholarship fund has been established in memory of Mr. Gary Taylor. Gary, a Job Point family member for 16 years, had an unmatched passion for serving young adults and built our world-class YouthBuild program.
Gary passed away unexpectedly in December 2016, and it is our every intention to ensure his legacy lives on for generations to come. To honor his spirit and acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments of the young people we serve, the Gary J. Taylor Memorial award was established.
Sedrick L. Lewis Memorial Fund
Sedrick Lewis was a graduate of Job Point’s YouthBuild and later their Adult Skills Training Program in Highway Heavy Construction. Through the ups and downs of life, he kept moving forward, constantly working to improve himself through education and new opportunities.
Drawing on his own experiences, Sedrick was known for always helping people with their personal struggles and to become a better version of themselves. He regularly recommended Job Point’s programs and was a believer in the potential of others and the beauty of second chances.
To honor Sedrick’s memory, a fund has been created that will ensure access to mental health support services for young people, ages 16-24, in Job Point’s programs.
