Job Point is pleased to announce that our very own Jerrell Morton, Director of YouthBuild has been appointed to Chair of the Membership Committee for the YouthBuild USA Affiliated Network.
For the last decade, Jerrell has been more than a leader in this program and in this community, he and his team have set the standard for how to connect, inspire and encourage students. They have stood together as a family to provide resources, direction and love.
“This appointment is not about what I have done,” Jerrell said. “It is about what we have done together as the YouthBuild family. It’s about what our students have been able to accomplish for themselves and for our community. I am truly honored and humbled to serve in this role, but I know it is bigger than me.”
Jerrell will serve a two-year term and may be re-elected to serve for up to four years. The Membership Committee reviews applications of new YouthBuild Affiliates and Affiliates moving up in affiliation level. It also works with YouthBuild USA to formulate both the application process and potential disaffiliation.
Only three program directors from across the nation are elected or appointed to serve in this role alongside 10 members including 3 YouthBuild alumni, 3 YouthBuild USA staff and the chairperson.
