Job Point proudly announced its 2018 Award Recipients during its Annual Banquet at the Reynolds Alumni Center at the University of Missouri on February 27th. From over 400 persons served, two individuals were honored for outstanding employment and personal triumph with an Award of Excellence. James White is a housekeeper at Super 8 in Boonville after participating in Job Point’s Supported Employment services. Teron Wings is a laborer with Chester Bross Construction Company after completing Job Point’s Highway/Heavy Construction Program. Job Point salutes these remarkable individuals for their resolve in overcoming barriers to employment. Don Moore, Director of Information Technologies, was honored as the Employee of the Year for his dedication and service. C & R Market was selected as the Employer of the Year for supporting the talents of individuals seeking employment. Atkins was honored as Partner of the Year for their outstanding support. Dr. Roger L. Morrison was acknowledged posthumously as Volunteer of the Year for his invaluable contributions.

Our Successes
For the fiscal year ending September 2023, we served 313 people, with job seekers entering employment at an average hourly wage of $15.80. Ninety percent of adults maintained employment for at least 90 days.
