Comedy Night

Job Point will host it’s Stand-Up Comedy Night, this year themed as Steve’s Last Stand: The Roast of Steven A. Smith, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Blue Note in downtown Columbia. Doors open at 6:00 pm. The show begins at 7:00 pm.


With the approaching retirement of Job Point’s President & CEO, Steven A. Smith, this year’s local celebrity comedians will focus part of their bit on roasting their long-time friend.


Roasters included in the line-up this year are:

• Lauren Karr, Current Board Chair, Veterans United
• Eric Morrison, Past Board Chair, Sundvold Financial
• Erica Pefferman, Past Board Chair, COMO Marketing
• Wally Pfeffer, Mutual of Omaha
• Tina Workman, Past Board Chair, Shelter Insurance

Tickets for the show are $100/person and include dinner, beer and wine, and two shows in one!


Proceeds from this event benefit Job Point’s students, graduates and job seekers, helping provide for emergent and essential needs as they begin their job search and transition into employment. Community support can help provide interview outfits, gas and phone cards, tools and personal protective equipment, uniforms, specialty shoes or whatever a person needs to successfully take a position and move into financial stability.
