A line was waiting when Job Point opened its doors on October 26 for the second annual Neighborhood Halloween Block Party. With an unpredictable forecast of rain and wind, this year’s event was moved indoors – featuring over a dozen non-profit organizations sharing resources, candy and games.
In the wake of isolation and separation that stemmed from the COVID-19 pandemic, the block party’s mission was to bring people back together, to rebuild connections and of course, spread a little joy through candy and games!
The halls were filled with laughter and excitement as kids in costumes made their way through the maze of classrooms. Close to 250 people passed through these walls from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm filling their bags and their tummies as they went along.
