The organization’s name was changed to Job Point.
- Vocational services were expanded to Missouri’s northern tier of the west central area
- Job Point landed a YouthBuild project through a federal grant competition
- Added training for Certified Nursing Assistants 2011
- We welcomed Steven A. Smith as our Interim President in 2014. He later became our President
- Columbia locations were consolidated in 2015
- Launched Summer Work Experience (SWE) program in partnership with Shelter Insurance Companies, Vocational Rehabilitation and local schools
In 2016, services to men and women who serve our country were expanded in partnership with the Veterans Administration and Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
In 2017, employment services were enhanced through contracts with Department of Mental Health Division of Developmental Disabilities and Ticket to Work
In 2018, SWE was extended to YMCA in Moberly
In 2018, YouthBuild collaborated with Missouri River Relief and other state YouthBuild programs for a day of environmental and ecological education and river clean-up
Hosted 30th anniversary Comedy Night fundraiser, honoring host Fred DeMarco
In 2019, we purchased our current headquarters building at 400 Wilkes Boulevard in Columbia we had been renting with the savings going to client services
In 2019, Nancy Silver, Vice President and 33 year veteran of Job Point, retired
In 2020, Job Point entered into a contract for services with Boone County Children’s service for our AmeriCorps program and vocational training for youths up to age 19
In 2020, Job Point was honored by Columbia Chamber of Commerce as the 2020 Small Business of the Year
